Measure Tools turns an Android device into an augmented-reality measuring system for objects, rooms and outdoor spaces. Its public feature set includes free point-to-point measurement, horizontal and vertical modes, 3D box preview, chain measurements, angle display, area and perimeter calculation, saved measurement images, folders, sharing, and metric or imperial units.
My contribution
I did not build the complete Measure Tools application. My engagement focused on upgrading its scanning workflow: the application now scans the broader physical space, while the interface reveals only the relevant measurement-start area around the current center point or raycast hit. A circular focus treatment and surrounding fade help users understand exactly where a measurement can begin without exposing distracting scan data across the full view.
I also resolved application issues and optimized existing code to improve stability, clarity and maintainability within the delivered scope.
